Nearly New Year already :)

Good Morning and it's certainly a bit blustery here in the West Midlands today. So a great excuse to cosy up in the craft room and get creating, We had a week off from Glitter n Sparkle challenges but we are secretly planning our January Projects. Kanban Crafts sent us some top secret goodies too for us to work on over Christmas too which have all gone off back to the factory ready for the shows in the next few weeks.
So whilst it was quiet I had a re-jig in the work room and actually moved to the conservatory which as you can see is lovely and light for working on these dull days still. The work room is now a man cave ( well that's what the boys are calling it lol)

I have decided I have too much stuff and need more storage but no spare pennies at the moment. So I have packed a bit away and hidden it :)

Now whilst clearing out I found some unloved items so I got crafting and here is a card I made

It is using an older Kanban Crafts topper sheets called Damask Gown and the code is CON8018.
The sheet is to make a concept card but I chopped the blank element up to make the backing and added bits and pieces I found whilst tidying up.
Quite pleased with this one.

Back to making today at full speed as I have a few Etsy orders to do and design work to finish which I will be sharing with you all very soon.

Have a great week

Last few Christmas Cards for 2015 all finished.

Well Christmas is certainly fast approaching and I have been busy making a lot of fun Christmas cards since June time :) So I am quite happy to be packing the Christmas craft items away at the end of this weekend.
Here are the last few I have made for orders this week.

This one includes a Lili of the Valley topper from the topper pads which is from last years collection.
I have made it very girlie by using pink's and pink ribbon to finish it off.

These two festive themed cards are made using Kanban Crafts Member Gifts Christmas topper pad and backing is from a Kraft Christmas Paper pad by Docrafts.

This cute fun Card for my Sister and her partner is made using a Kanban Topper Sheet called Winter Wooly bears and layered with coordinating papers. Finished with wooden snowflakes and pearls.

This is my last Christmas card for the year. I had a request for a card for a doggy to his  daddy who they see on their walks regularly :) Mand is great with her kiddies and dogs so I thought how sweet and made this card, it includes a Kanban Christmas Pets topper, Elf & safety paper pad for backing.

The sentiments on the cards are either Stamp in Up ones or hand stamped with individual letter stamps.

Well, I just need to say Thank you for all those new liker's this year and commenting on my blog posts and to Wish you all a great Weekend,
We as a family have some huge plans for next year as well as some exciting Crafting news.
Watch this space

Feeling the love and getting ready for Valentine's Day - Sami Stamps Blog Challenge Entry

Good Evening and I felt like I should be entering more blog challenges and so I decided to start with this one tonight.

Sami Stamps have a challenge as you can see Use red being the theme.

So I went over and purchased a couple of digital stamps to use ( I have used Sami Stamps before on a Glitter N Sparkle Challenge and I know how great they are)
I decided for this challenge I wanted to start my Valentine's Cards so here is the start of the project.

I have decided to create a neat 6" x 6" card and have used the following items:
Kaiser Crafts Curiosity Paper Pad ( Pin stripe panel)
First Edition J'adore Paper Pad

Now the image I purchased is called On Your Arm

I have coloured the couple with my Promarkers:
Berry & Poppy Red for the Dress
Raw Sienna and Burnt Sienna for the lady's Hair
Blush, Saffron & Pastel Pink for skin on both
Burnt Sienna on His Hair
Black on the suit and Blender pen for effect.

I have matted and layered the backings and 3d foamed the couple on to the card.
I have used a wooden fleur de lis, Black satin ribbon and finished the card off with a 'Love' sentiment ( Art Impressions Stamp) stamped on paper from the First Edition J'adore pad and I have cut to make a pennant shape and again fixed that with foam sticky fixers too.

Sami Stamps have some absolutely stunning digital images for you to purchase and even have a few freebies too.
To join follow the link above too.
Fingers crossed the Sami Stamps team will like my design.

Snowflakes & Reindeers

Good Afternoon from a rather windy West Midlands in the UK.

I have been busy with going to the NEC for the Christmas Hobbycrafts show ran by ICHF on Thursday and helping out at the Kanban Crafts Worksop with 'Kanban Keith' Smith and superstar demonstrator Sue Dinsdale as they worked on Afternoon Tea Kits with some of their fans which was fun.

Wow the show was great and certainly a lot of people about and everyone enjoying the free make & takes which were going on.

I had a great time learning some new skills including making this Watercolour landscape painting with Matthew Palmer Watercolour Artist

Not bad for a 45 minute lesson really, I have been practising at home and painted some more pictures now ready to stick on cards.

Now the reason for my post today is I was busy making cards yesterday and came across a stamp set by Kanban Crafts called Reindeer & Snowflakes which I decided to craft with and here is what I made:

This easel card is stamped on the background with the blacked out snowflake stamp from the set, stamped the medium sized clear reindeer and coloured him with Promarkers Tan & Praline.
The ribbon is from Meiflower crafts, The snowflake charm is from ebay and the gems and pearls are also from Aspire Crafts.co.uk

Now available on my Facebook page: Unicorn Crafts Handmade Cards & Accessories

Happy Crafting

Cute and cuddly Christmas Card - Kanban Crafts Betsie Bob Stamps

Good Morning, It's a bit autumnal out there wind and leaves everywhere, so I'm tucked up in my office making some gorgeous cards.
I have one for you now, it's a large card this time and measures 8"x8" and is made using Kanban Crafts Betsie Bob Stamp set - called Across the Miles. The stamp was originally released in 2010 so it's an oldie but a goodie.

It stamps so well, I have used Memento Black Tuxedo Ink on normal white card stock and coloured using Letraset Promarker pens.

Here is a close up of the finished image using on the card. Below is the stages of colouring for you in case you'd like to have a go too.

I have layered the image using the Kanban Crafts Card stock that came with the stamp set, added matching ribbon from Meiflower Crafts, glitter washi tape from Express Yourshelves Crafts shop in Coventry and a Wooden snowflake from my local Hobbycraft store.

A fun and cute Christmas card.
