Glitter N Sparkle - Week 189 - Anything Goes week - The Stamping Boutique Sponsor

Wow, another week  is almost over and this weeks Glitter N Sparkle Challenge is one of our most popular themes and is
Anything Goes week

One of this weeks sponsors is the fabulous The Stamping Boutique and I was very lucky to get to choose from their amazing selection of digi's
I chose:

I thought it was such a  fun image to work with and would work really well on a larger card size.
Here is what I came up with

I have coloured this image in using Promarkers:
Horse: Cinnamon & Burnt Sienna
Tail & Mane: Sandstone & Praline
Saddle & Bridal : Henna
Blanket: Grey Green
Skin : Blush, Saffron & Pastel Pink
Hair: Burnt Sienna
Jumps: Lipstick Red
Rider's t-shirt : Cardinal Red
Grass: Pear Green & Marsh Green

I made a large 8" x 8" card blank from a sheet of A3 card stock, next I used a Stampin Up Stamp set which included the apple and used memento ink to stamp the apple border on the card blank. I also stamped and extra 2 on a scrap piece of card to use as embellishments.
I have matted and layered the image with coordinating papers and card stock colours.
The final pieces were to add the apples and then the sentiment which is a Woodware Crafts Stamp set called Make a Wish.

I love these fun cartoon like digital images, if you would like to win some of these great images or soem from our other sponsors then pop over to Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog and add your entry using the linky.

Have a great Sunday

Glitter N Sparkle Week 185 - Anything Goes challenge - imagine that digi stamps

Good Morning and welcome to this weeks challenge over at Glitter N Sparkle which is all about
'Anything Goes'

Well this is a fun week as anything goes mean we have free choice of images and ideas ;)
Here is my card that I have made using a Imagine That Digital Images

I wanted to create something bright and colourful and this is my sample.

The image is coloured in Promarkers:
Moss
Summer Sun
Fuchsia Pink
Mulberry
Cool Aqua
Pastel Green

The backing paper is a Kanban Crafts from the recent Silhouette collection they released.
The Lime green corners are from a Katy Sue Mould and made using Martha Stewart air dry clay which I coloured using distress ink.
The sentiment is a Stampin Up set
I finished the card off by adding green pearls to the frame of the image.

Love this card it is such fun and nice and bright.
If you would like to be in with a chance of winning some gorgeous new digital stamps then pop over to Glitter N Sparkle blog and add your entry into the Anything goes theme.

Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Week 184: Red & White - Sami Stamps

Good Morning and welcome to another fabulous themed challenge over at Glitter N Sparkle.

This week we have some amazing sponsors and my chosen sponsor is Sami Stamps

I just love their images and have purchased several of them.

So which image did I chose?
Well I got this gorgeous design:

So the theme set is Red & White

And here is what I have created:
I kept it simple as I think it looks more effective.
I coloured the image with Promarkers: Lipstick Red, Berry & Poppy for the dress,
Skin: Blush, Saffron & Pastel Pink
Hair: Primrose, Pastel Yellow & Mustard
Flowers: Crimson
I have used the Promarker blender pen to add shading to the dress.

The backing is a gorgeous Red Polka dot card stock from Anna-Marie Designs purchased at the NEC and I have used a Stamp Set by Stampin Up for the sentiment in the top corner.
White satin ribbon tied in the corner and then I have added red & white pearls to add final details.

I love this image and have coloured it in a few other colours too ready to make more cards.
I hope you like the image and will pop over to take a look at Sami Stamps or pop over to Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog to take part in the Red & White challenge theme.

Happy Crafting

Week #180 Anything Goes Challenge on the Glitter n Sparkle Blog

Good Morning and on this lovely first day of spring, we  have the sun shining and the birds tweeting away whilst I'm sat in my work room.

This week is the Anything Goes week over on the Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog and this week I was given a Lacy Sunshine Digital Image - called Flower Bed Fred Gnome and he is super cute and very fitting this morning as it's the First day of Spring.
And here he is:
Isn't he cute? Such a fun image to colour too. I used something a bit different for me this time and used Pastel Pencils, I bought these pencils from a local Anime Art Shop and I have to say it's a lovely change to use something else to colour with. They are called Bruynzeel Design Pastel Pencils - 12 in a box.
Great for smudging and they have given a lovely effect with the a shading.
It was screaming out for fun bright colours, so I continued this on with the card colours too.
I decided to try a gatefold card today and the card was precut by Lime Tree Craft and it was just a case of finding the folding points and off we go. The Lemon card stock is also by Limetree Craft and the Citrus green polka dots is by Anna Marie Designs.
I have used a Stampin Up trio of flowers punch and used off cuts to cut them out. I have tied a sage green ribbon to hold the card shut and finished with tiny pearls on the flowers for effect.

Love this Gnome image - great fun to use and Lacy Sunshine are a fabulous Digital stamp company.

If you would like to be in with a chance to win some digital images from any of our sponsors this week then pop over to the Glitter N Sparkle Challenge blog page and find out how to play along and to add your creations.
Lots of Look and Happy Spring to you all.

New 2016 release stamps by Woodware Craft Collection

Good Morning, it's Friday so that means it is almost time to relax again,

I hope everyone has got back into the swing of things with school & work again. I know I am my diet started again this week and it has been very hard to get back into it. I will get there though.

Now the real reason for my post today is I have been having a play with some new stamps that arrived this week. They are by the fabulous Woodware Craft Collection. These stamps are specifically designed by the very talented Franciose Reed. Now the fast service I received from my favourite seller of Woodware Stamps is The Stamp Man based up in Yorkshire and I have to say their customer service is brilliant and I always purchase online from them when I want new Woodware Stamps.
Here is my delivery in all of it's glory.

Now these new stamps are from the 2016 new release - so very much hot off the press :)

I will start with this amazing 'Home Collage' stamp - ref: FRS612
The following shows you the 2 designs I have created so far with the stamp.

Finished card - Now I distress ink'd the backing panel and then sprayed water over it to give added effect, then stamped the image using Momento Black Tuxedo ink. I have then used a water brush and coloured the door and flower for definition.

Closer up you can that I have used Glossy accents on the clock face and the word LOVE which is on the roof. I added dark bronze pearls to the card and finished with a tied knot of brown gingham ribbon also from Woodware craft collections.

Now for a rather more cleaner looking card this time, same stamp but this time coloured with Promarkers and went for a blues & greens tone of colours. Various backings for layering ad a pale green ribbon finished off with a metal key.

The sentiment also a new 2016 stamp called 'Make a Wish' - ref: FRS009

Here is a closer look at the stamped image.

Now I moved onto another fabulous release called 'Sewing Sampler' Ref: FRS615
I love this stamp set and so very fitting for a nation is slightly obsessed with sewing.
The stamp actually comes approx A6 size but because of how Françoise has designed the stamp you can cut it up and rearrange it.
So here is my first go with the stamp. I have coloured the elements with promarkers and then cut the panels out. Layered the card blank with traditional style paper and added 3 panels from the set, middle one is stuck with 3d foam tape for height.

I cut out (fussy cutted) the bobbin and needles from the stamped image to and added them in the corner, finished with a sentiment from 'Make a wish' set and added 2 polka dot buttons.

Now we move on to the more traditional look of the stamp set
But with a twist :)
Here is the finished card but it was a few layers in the making.
I chose 2 sheets of 6"x 6" papers from my stash ( Mainly Kaiser Crafts pads) and stamped the stamp on to each sheet. I chose the stitch effect as my main piece and then started to cut out the small elements with my craft knife, You will be able to see better on the closer up picture.
To finish the card I layered the same papers onto a piece of Stampin up Sahara Sand card stock and tied a peach crochet lace around it.

Now my work gained some interest from our cat Scamp yesterday she was keeping an eye on my sheet whilst I patched it together. And here she is :) She is very old cat now 17 years old in April and is very grumpy ( hey why not at that age) but she does love company and is loving my desk in the conservatory.

Back to the project - sorry got carried away with the cat story lol
Here is a close up of the patching of the image. I cut various elements out of the 2 sheets and layered them on to the image like a patchwork I think.

I even added a peach button on to the stamped one in the bottom corner for effect.

I love these stamps and they stamp clear and great every time. You can colour them, distress them or even just decoupage them,
I shall be buying more once I have saved my pennies and I can't wait.

Thanks for reading and please don't forget to say Hi in the comments and let me know what you think.
I love reading your comments.
Happy Crafting Friday everyone

Week 159 At Glitter N Sparkle Challenge - Cute Halloween

Good Morning from here is the rather dull looking West Midlands today.
This weeks challenge is all about getting spooky ready for Halloween and we have gone with a cute theme to it.
A great one for the kids that's for sure.

My assignment was to choose from Sami's Stamps and is called My Witch & Whiskers

I decided to make my design into a Trick or Treat collecting bag so this is a A4 size topper which I have stuck down on a Brown Kraft bag.

The backing is stamped from a Stampin Up Stamp set. I have used Glitter washi tape to add fun to the corners and tied with green & orange satin ribbon.

Now for the beautiful image. My Witch & Whiskers is so cute and as great to colour thanks to Sami's great illustration.
The colours I have used are:
Letreaset Promarkers:
Warm Grey 4 & 5 - For the dress
Black - Hat
Lime Zest & Lime Twist - Witches Skin
Amethyst & Purple - Witches Hair
Cool Grey 1, 3 & 4 - Witches Cat
Forest Green - Band on the Witches Hat.
I have used the blender pen in places
And finished with Dovecraft glitter glue on the Spiders string.

So who fancies joining in the fun over at Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog?
All you have to do is make a cute Halloween Project and add your Link to the blog post for this week.
