Glitter N Sparkle Week #171 Monochrome design using Limited Runs Digital Stamps

Good Morning and welcome to my blog today
It's Sunday already and that mean just one thing it's
Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog day

This week the theme is Monochrome
And going by the Dt samples that can mean a whole range of great ideas.
I went for traditional shades of grey for my sample which includes a great image by
The Image is called Watermelon and is great for all sorts of occasions.
Here is the finished card:

I have layered the card with plain black card stock by Ross Papercrafts, The pattern papers used are by Kaiser Crafts and the sentiment is also from one of the 6"x6" pads. Ribbon by Meiflower and pearls from my own stash.

Here is a close up of the watermelon design, I used my Promarkers for this project as I had all 5 of the Cool greys & black for the theme.
Cool Grey 1 - 5 used to create this image - Which I duplicated on the 3 identical glasses
To finish each image I added glossy accents on to the glass areas for added effect.

I love this design now it's finished and it is very striking.
If you would like to have a go and see the other Dt's Inspiration then pop over to the Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog
And then add your linky to be in with chance to win some great prizes.

Have a great week and see you all next time.

New 2016 release stamps by Woodware Craft Collection

Good Morning, it's Friday so that means it is almost time to relax again,

I hope everyone has got back into the swing of things with school & work again. I know I am my diet started again this week and it has been very hard to get back into it. I will get there though.

Now the real reason for my post today is I have been having a play with some new stamps that arrived this week. They are by the fabulous Woodware Craft Collection. These stamps are specifically designed by the very talented Franciose Reed. Now the fast service I received from my favourite seller of Woodware Stamps is The Stamp Man based up in Yorkshire and I have to say their customer service is brilliant and I always purchase online from them when I want new Woodware Stamps.
Here is my delivery in all of it's glory.

Now these new stamps are from the 2016 new release - so very much hot off the press :)

I will start with this amazing 'Home Collage' stamp - ref: FRS612
The following shows you the 2 designs I have created so far with the stamp.

Finished card - Now I distress ink'd the backing panel and then sprayed water over it to give added effect, then stamped the image using Momento Black Tuxedo ink. I have then used a water brush and coloured the door and flower for definition.

Closer up you can that I have used Glossy accents on the clock face and the word LOVE which is on the roof. I added dark bronze pearls to the card and finished with a tied knot of brown gingham ribbon also from Woodware craft collections.

Now for a rather more cleaner looking card this time, same stamp but this time coloured with Promarkers and went for a blues & greens tone of colours. Various backings for layering ad a pale green ribbon finished off with a metal key.

The sentiment also a new 2016 stamp called 'Make a Wish' - ref: FRS009

Here is a closer look at the stamped image.

Now I moved onto another fabulous release called 'Sewing Sampler' Ref: FRS615
I love this stamp set and so very fitting for a nation is slightly obsessed with sewing.
The stamp actually comes approx A6 size but because of how Françoise has designed the stamp you can cut it up and rearrange it.
So here is my first go with the stamp. I have coloured the elements with promarkers and then cut the panels out. Layered the card blank with traditional style paper and added 3 panels from the set, middle one is stuck with 3d foam tape for height.

I cut out (fussy cutted) the bobbin and needles from the stamped image to and added them in the corner, finished with a sentiment from 'Make a wish' set and added 2 polka dot buttons.

Now we move on to the more traditional look of the stamp set
But with a twist :)
Here is the finished card but it was a few layers in the making.
I chose 2 sheets of 6"x 6" papers from my stash ( Mainly Kaiser Crafts pads) and stamped the stamp on to each sheet. I chose the stitch effect as my main piece and then started to cut out the small elements with my craft knife, You will be able to see better on the closer up picture.
To finish the card I layered the same papers onto a piece of Stampin up Sahara Sand card stock and tied a peach crochet lace around it.

Now my work gained some interest from our cat Scamp yesterday she was keeping an eye on my sheet whilst I patched it together. And here she is :) She is very old cat now 17 years old in April and is very grumpy ( hey why not at that age) but she does love company and is loving my desk in the conservatory.

Back to the project - sorry got carried away with the cat story lol
Here is a close up of the patching of the image. I cut various elements out of the 2 sheets and layered them on to the image like a patchwork I think.

I even added a peach button on to the stamped one in the bottom corner for effect.

I love these stamps and they stamp clear and great every time. You can colour them, distress them or even just decoupage them,
I shall be buying more once I have saved my pennies and I can't wait.

Thanks for reading and please don't forget to say Hi in the comments and let me know what you think.
I love reading your comments.
Happy Crafting Friday everyone

My Crafty Kanban Wednesday's start today.

Welcome to my Weekly Wednesday Posts.

Starting this week I am doing Kanban Wednesday's - Strange but I have my mad moments, If I get the Kanban Crafts sheets out and craft on a Wednesday I can update my blog, showcase new and old kits and also offer inspiration, whilst also building stock to sell in my outlets - see not quite so mad now :).

I am intending to do this with each of the Dt's that I work with so each day I blog ad each day I show something different.

So today I decided I would work on a couple of really old collections from Kanban Crafts.
Here is collection 1's creations:
Kit : Fairies ref: 590558
The kit comes with a set like above for each scene to make a concept 3d box style card ( as shown above).

I have made a couple of cards using just one sheet from the set
Baking & Shopping fairies - Ref PCT1396
I have made one into the Box card as shown above and then to show you that you can use the elements to make a normal card too.

Baking on the left made into the box scene and shopping fairy used for the A5 card.

Here is the 3d box scene card made up, you simply just fold and stick the scallop pieces together to fold the shape. You can stick everything inside the frame or as I have done and add elements on the outside.

Here you can see it standing and from above, I have added a lilac backing paper from the 'The language of flowers' 6x6" paper pad by Kanban too. I have slit a cut into the bowl of mixture so I could slip the whisk into it for added effect.

All finished and you can see the elements stuck down, there are 2 sentiments on the sheet and also there is a lovely larger sentiment that you pop out to make the frame piece which you can add on the reverse for the name and from to be written too.

Now for the 2nd card I have made - Shopping Fairy.
Now for this card I cut up the backing panel for the box element and stuck the shop window onto it,  then layered and cut the elements to make a layered roof panel. I have decoupaged the fairy up with the sheet and cut her hand out and added the bag on her hand for effect.
I have added some pearls for embellishment.
Inside I have used th matching backing from the front ( which is from the Well wishes & Celebrations pad) and added the second sentiment inside as an insert.

Now for Collection No 2
The Griffins
A Dragon inspired collection ref: 589041

Again this kit is a really old kit from Kanban Crafts but it's a fun one :)
Here we have the lady who loves Chocolate & Wine just as much as me
Ref no for the sheets used are: PCT9582, CRD9645, CRD9634 & PCT9588
I have used ribbon & twine for effect.

Here you can see her layered up ( there are more decoupage elements on the sheet but I felt she was layered up enough here. You can just about see the texture which has been added to the topper sheet to make her look and feel scaley :) Fabulous idea.

Now for the man of the house Dragon card.
Sheets used are: Ref: PCT9585, CRD9634, CRD9640
I have added a kraft card tag and tied it with twine.
The sentiment is from the sentiment sheet included in the main kit Ref: PCT9587

Again on this close up you can see the texture that Kanban have added for the extra effect.

Well that was a fun morning and a few cards made.
Next week I will be working on a range called
'Patchwork Pals'

Have a great day

Also we have been choosing our Competition winners from the birthday week.

This Weeks Glitter n Sparkle challenge is all about Pink, we were all given our Digi's and had to incorporate pink in to the design.

My Digital image is a by an amazing artist Aurella Art and called Fantasy Mermaid
Here is my finished card.

I coloured the image using Promarker Pens and focused on normal colours for the digi and decided to incorporate the pink in to the rest of the card.

Colours Used on this project were:
Hair - Cool Grey 5 & Black
Skin - Blush, Saffron & Pastel Pink
Koi Karp - Satin, Sunflower, Cool Grey 5, Burnt Orange, Apricot
I decided to use Glossy Accents on the fish to make them look like they were wet.

Backing papers were from Kanban Crafts Belle De Fleur Paper pad La Rose.
Sentiments were either hand stamped or from the sentiments pad also from Belle De Fleur range by Kanban Crafts

If you would like to win some amazing digital images then why not join in the fun at Glitter N Sparkle Blog Challenge and enter a creation using the theme something 'Pink'
