Meljen's Challenge Blog entry - Sketch

This weeks challenge was using a Sketch layout. I decided to turn the sketch round so i could use this brilliant image I have coloured waiting for the perfect card to use it on.
I have coloured the lovely lady using my promarkers and in a variety of shades of pink. I wanted to create the idea of picture frame so used a sizzix die to cut the ornate frame and then embellished the frame using the sketch layout with pearl hearts, a butterfly and some paper flowers.
I hope the ladies over at Meljen designs blog it

Meljen Designs Blog Challenge " Frames"

Here is my blog entry for the meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.co.uk challenge this week which was incorporate a frame into our cards whilst using one of her fab designs.
I have used the Scuba Bear image which inspired me to make a fish tank themed frame picture using other fishy stamps to embellish the card.
I have coloured all the images with a mixture of copics and promarker pens. Really pleased with the finished card and used various shades of blue buttons to act as bubbles to finish it off.
I hope they like it

New baby Card

I decided to make a gate fold card for this order, haven't made one for ages. I used first edition paper pads for the patterned pieces and Stampin Up pale blue card stock for layering.
The Teddy was a digi decoupage image I bought many years ago.

Inside again I used a sheet from the First Edition Paper pads  and then added the SU card die cut and stamped the sentiment.
Simple but effective looking card.

Wedding cards Using Dreamees rubber stamps

At one of the papercrafting shows at the national motorcycle museum last year I purchased this little corker of a bride & groom stamp. I have used it quite a few times now but recently popped this creation together to show a florist who wanted to stock my cards in their shop.
I have used promarkers to colour the image in. I then used various die cut shapes in various papers. All finished with a woodware ribbon.
Pop by and say hi to Dreamees over @  Dreamees Stamps & Cd's also they have a facebook page too.

Now the cards below are ones I have made using the first set I bought. I have had great fun colouring them

Papermania Creations

I have dug out my Papermania craft stash today.
First card that I made this morning I used the emerald 12"x12" paper stack to make this green gardening themed easel shaped card.

Also on the card is the papermania glitter textured papers, gardening themed topper and sentiment.
I have used a Stampin up green card layer and used Xcut dies to cut the shaped panels.

All finished with 2 different tones of ribbon, paper flowers, brads and pearl roses.

The second card that I made, used a Papermania vintage postcard die cut topper which came in a pack of 4 and also the buttons are from the massive bag of vintage themed buttons pack.
The Green leaves paper is from Stampin Up, The gold ribbon is from meiflower and the beautiful paper is script and flowers on is from Pion designs.
I have finished the card with paper flowers, leaves and brads.
The wording was stamped using individual stamps and a Woodware stamp set "Jane's Script".

This is a card that I made yesterday using a Saturated Canary image from the talented Krista Smith.

I have cut out a heart using my fiskars templates and then embossed it with a Sizzix plate.

LOTV Easel card

One of today's crafty makes is a card for my friends little girls 6th birthday.
I have used a round cut easel card blank and added decorative papers in pinks and oranges. I have die cut using xcuts scallop circles (one being out of a LOTV pre coloured topper). The topper is a LOTV Fairy with a present and teddy. (these were bought in a mixed pack a couple of years ago at hobbycrafts show at the NEC).
On the lower level I have used coordinating papers, Meiflower Pink polka dot ribbon and a chipboard letter E for Eden which I coloured using Promarker # Magenta. Finished off with gem flowers and a starry sentiment stamped in Momento # Rose Bud Ink.
She loved her card when we popped over earlier.

Snow White Art Canvas - Sketch Saturday Inspired

Starting off as I mean to go on in 2013 and entering another challenge today. This one is the Sketch Saturday Blog Challenge. We were given a set sketch to follow and decided as I was planning on making an art canvas for my daughter I thought I would incorporate the sketch into the design.

I have used a Saturated Canary Snow White themed image and coloured with my promarkers mainly bright colours to make her stand out. I have used a mixture of backing elements and then added the cross with two colours of ribbons (Red dotty is woodware, Blue satin is a remnant). To finish I have stamped onto a die cut frame and made the mirror with mirri card and then added the buttons to finish the sketch.
I hope they like the design, my daughter certainly does.

Passion for Promarkers Entry - New Beginnings

Here is my entry for the Passion for Promarkers blog competition this week. Their theme is New Beginnings so I have used one of my new cards I have made for a friends new baby. I have used my promarkers to colour the 2 stamped images (lotv New arrival stamp and a Magnolia Pram stamp) I have used various shades of pinks starting with pastel pink and the teddy was sandstone and cinnamon.

I love this stamp its great for baby cards are so easy to use for boys or girls.

I always include the babies arrival dates and weight as a special keepsake for the happy new families.
I have also used alpha squares to spell out the babies name.
This is all on an A4 folded long ways to create a lovely elongated card.

I hope the gals over at Passion for Promarkers like it?
If you fancy having a go then pop over to have a look at the DT inspirations and have a go yourselves.
