Morgan's Artworld Guest Designer for January

Good Morning and welcome to my special post today
This month I have been asked to be the Guest Designer over at Morgan's Artworld Blog
Which then transformed into a more permanent role starting from February.

So here is the card that I have made using one of the amazing images from the website: Morgan's Fae creations
I chose this field mice image to colour and used a very spring colour theme to brighten to dull winter season. I love how it came out and hopefully you will too.

Closer up version of the image which was coloured with letraset Promarkers.

I couldn't help myself and had to add some ribbons and flowers to tie in with the theme and also the colours. here is a close up of the paper flowers which I have curled the wire around my embossing tool to give a curled wire detail.

For my article and introduction on the Morgan's Art World blog follow this link and pop over and say hi to the team.

Looking forward to working with team over the year.

Good Morning and welcome to my blog today
It's Sunday already and that mean just one thing it's
Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog day

This week the theme is Monochrome
And going by the Dt samples that can mean a whole range of great ideas.
I went for traditional shades of grey for my sample which includes a great image by
The Image is called Watermelon and is great for all sorts of occasions.
Here is the finished card:

I have layered the card with plain black card stock by Ross Papercrafts, The pattern papers used are by Kaiser Crafts and the sentiment is also from one of the 6"x6" pads. Ribbon by Meiflower and pearls from my own stash.

Here is a close up of the watermelon design, I used my Promarkers for this project as I had all 5 of the Cool greys & black for the theme.
Cool Grey 1 - 5 used to create this image - Which I duplicated on the 3 identical glasses
To finish each image I added glossy accents on to the glass areas for added effect.

I love this design now it's finished and it is very striking.

Kanban Wednesdays is back this week with Patchwork Pals

Good Evening, I hope everyone is save and warm with all this horrid weather we have been having?

It's Wednesday and that means Kanban day :)
This week I have older toppers for you but they are cracking ones :)

Patchwork Pals are a gorgeous family who love all things a family would love to do at the weekends, baking, gardening, football or going on a Train Ride.

You can buy them in Die cut topper format or Rubber Stamps
Here are a set of cards I have made just using 4 Topper sheets from the collection.

As I'm sure you will agree they are very cute and great for Grand kids or Grand parents with their cute themes and back grounds.

There is even a rumour that Kanban Crafts will be releasing a brand new kit using the Patchwork Pals, I'm hoping for a Go Karting one for my hubby he would love that one :)

Happy Wednesday everyone xx

This week there are yet again some fantastic prizes up for grabs for entering a card using the theme
Tic Tac Toe

There is board for you to use to gain your inspiration, all you have to do is choose a row that you incorporate in your card ie Gems/pearls, Image & Ribbon/lace
This the row I chose for my card this week which includes the fabulous image called:
by

Now here is my card using the information above, first is the close up of the image coloured.

I have coloured her using my Letraset Promarkers, here is the list of colours used:
Hair: Primrose, Pastel Yellow & Mustard
Skin: Blush, Saffron & Pastel Pink
Bow & cupcakes are in various shades of Pink's
Eyes: Pastel Blue

The image is obviously called Marie Antoinette so I went for a regal colour scheme and patterned papers. The Backing card and panel behind the image are from the Kanban Crafts Kensington Collection.
The line I used for my card was Pearls &/or gems ( So I have used both) on the left of the image and then I tied Lace & ribbon together on the right hand side.
The sentiment is from the same Kensington collection.

To purchase a SLS Lines Digital Image then click on the link then and it will take you to their Etsy shop.
