Mythical Cards using Jeremiah Ketner Digital Images from Craftsandme

Good afternoon from the Unicorn Crafts Head quarters, I finally got around to purchasing some new images this week and I was recommended this wonderful designer Jeremiah Ketner and popped over to CraftsandMe and purchased these two designs.
The blue one is called Here Kitty Kitty and I have coloured her using Promarker pens.
The black border is from the Pound shop store in my local town and finished with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and pearls from Ebay.

The second set of cards is using the Dragonfly Digital Stamp which is a new release.

I have coloured her in with my promarker pens again but decided on a purple hair colour.

I love to add dimension and on both the Dragonfly ladies I have used Glossy Accents on the Dragonfly necklaces and her eyes.

I have kept these designs very simple so as to let the image stand out.

Stunning designs by Jeremiah Ketner and you can also purchase them from the Etsy store also.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Woodware Christmas Rubber Stamping 'Peace'

Today I finished off some cards using the Woodware Rubber Stamps latest release.
This lovely stamp comes with this amazing word stamp and also some additional sentiments to go with it.

I have coloured them using my Promarkers and created these in different colours to see which one I liked more but can't make my mind up to be honest I love them all.
I backed the topper using Kanban card stock available from Aspire Crafts - Home of Kanban

I shared these on the woodware facebook page and they have gone down well.
Here are some close ups of them.

Thank you for looking at my blog today :)

Kanban Crafts released their latest collection of Basic Stash Card collection and wow what a collection it is.
Now if you love colour then you will love this set it covers everyone's tastes, cuts like a dream with die cutters and you can even stamp on perfectly.

As you can see from the above picture the colours are wonderful and when it comes in a mixture of 300gsm card stock (even textured), 160gsm twin coloured papers and colour wash Kraft card.

Here are a few of my samples:

The is card was made using the Spotty Stencils which were also released yesterday on the Create & Craft Show.

This shows you the stencils in another colour

I used the 160gsm paper and showed the twin colours and also embossed it to show the white inner part.

This bag is also made by the 160gsm twin colour paper and I combined it with the Pink & blue for contrast and added the coordinated butterflies (also available on a Multibuy)

Lastly here is a Mask which my son Josh spray painted for me and then using the swirls from the stencils I added the detailing and also added matching purple Butterflies.

TiddlyInks DT call - Card made using Love you Mostest Couple

Love you mostest - Wedding Day Card.

Welcome to my little piece of blog world and today we have this stunning tiddlyinks image called: Love you mostest couple designed by the fabulous Christy Croll.

I have coloured the image in using Promarkers,
the colours I used for the bride are:
Cool Grey 1 for the dress
Blush, Saffron & Pastel Pink - Skin
Cocoa & Walnut - Hair
Herb Green, Cardinal Red - Flowers in the headband
The colours for the Groom are:
Black - Jacket
Cool Grey 5 & 4 - Trousers
Blush, Saffron & Pastel Pink - Skin
Praline & Tan - Hair

I have used the Blender pen on the jacket & trousers and both sets of hair.

To add dimension I have added Glossy Accents on to the bracelet and on the detailing on the headband which you can see on the picture above.

I made this into a Wedding day greeting card using backing papers from Sweet Paris Paper Pack by Docrafts, backed on to Selection Box Card by Kanban Crafts & Brown pattern paper from Paris Pack by Hunkydory Crafts. I have matted and layered these elements and curl the red corner and added a matching peg.
The white ribbon is tied down the side and is from Meiflower
Then I have used a lovely Wedding day wooden die cut from Nottingham Laser Crafts and finished with paper flowers which I have coloured some in Cardinal Red to coordinate with the design. Finished off with pearls and a 'Love' stamp.

All finished my layering onto a white card blank A5 size.

For this fantastic image and many more of the Tiddly Ink range please pop over to the website, Tiddly Inks and grab some amazing new digital images, backgrounds and even sentiments.

Deco Ladies Step by Step to making a card

Wow, the Deco ladies proved so popular yesterday on social media and I got a lot of comments about how people struggle to make these stunning cards, so today I have done a step by step guide to this card.

The topper sheet & backing card are all by Kanban Crafts ( this link will take you to one of these lovely topper sheets)

Now here is the stages of production hope I have made it as simple as possible for you :)

Today I am focusing on the aqua coloured topper sheet but as you can see the other styles are as stunning too

Now here is the selection of sheets I have chosen to match the topper sheets in the above photo.

Above is the embellishments and ribbons that I have chosen to match the colours - Ribbon mainly by Meiflower crafts - Pearls and gems are available from Meiflower & Aspire Crafts

I have pushed all the elements out - sometimes a knife of scissors are needed to get them out neatly.

The collage above shows the elements all layered up - I have used the inner pieces to make a tag later and the sentiment will be used for the inside of the card, so a great value topper sheet. I have used Tacky glue as wet glue allows movement of the layers so that you position them correctly.

This next photo shows you the sizes of the card blank I used and the measurements for the backing sheets in cm's.

This collage photo shows the stages of production, I have cornered the backing card using this tool which gives a lovely Deco feel corner. I have used the sheets of sentiments also available from Aspire Crafts, Once I had stuck the layers down using double sided sticky tape, I tied some ribbon around the top of the panels ( as shown ) Next it was the sentiment and embellishments, all shown in the photo.

This is the finished topper ready to be added to the card blank we folded earlier.

I decorated the inside using the matching backing panel from the remnants from the topper layers and added the sentiment tag from the topper sheet.
Close up photo below where you can see I have added a small pearl.

Here is the finished card looking lovely isn't it?

Well I hope that this guide has helped those not so sure about having a go with these lovely toppers. They certainly make a very classy looking card.

Tonic Studio's Workshop @ Stoneleigh Park GBCF

I have had a lovely weekend spending time at The Great British Craft Festival, I have the chance to go both days and I loved it yet again that Show is brilliant.
On Saturday I tried to pop along to the Tonic Studio's stand to visit the lovely Cheremane Smith who was running the sessions with Sharon Duffy but they were so busy I didn't chance to have a go but I was very intrigued by the designs they were using and I decided to purchase my first Tonic Studio Die . I know I hear the gasps of shock that I hadn't bought one before but I am not a big die cutter so just hadn't got round to buying any until now.
I went back on Sunday and managed to jump in a seat :) and here is what I made,

I have to say the fairies are my favourite and great for my work at the Crystal Cave at Fargo Village.
So I purchased a couple of the dies

I'm looking forward to having a play with these dies today.

Christmas in July ( I know what you thought)

Well at Kanban this summer they had Christmas on their minds and they designed a wonderful winter collection which was launched in July on Create & Craft TV.

Being on the Design Team it meant I got a chance to craft with the kit beforehand and make some samples for the show.

And here they are, I have added a selection of designs I made with the kit. The kit is huge and something for all crafters.

The above design was made using the wipe clean stencils that Kanban now produce, which I have to say are brilliant and can be used in so many ways. I dusted the back ground with ink dusters and then the top one was done drawing around the shape and colouring with promarkers.

I will be doing a few demo's and tutorials on my Facebook page: Unicorn Crafts Handmade Cards in October using the stencils so please pop over and like the page so you stay up to date with events happening.
