Christmas Gift Voucher Cards

I was asked the other day to make some gift vouchers for my Brother in laws girlfriend, he'd got 4 ideas - 2 for christmas and 2 for her birthday.
So he gave me the 4 vouchers and here's my designs.

This brief was a voucher for tickets to the Hippodrome, so I decided to make the card into a Theatre stage with props and actors. I have to say I'm really pleased with how this turned out.

This voucher is for a Nail Appointment so I went for pink and girly.

This is for 2 tickets to Wicked at the London Victoria Theatre. So I couldn't resist using my witch Tilda.

And the last one if for a shopping trip and I used Craftwork Cards backing papers and kept it really simple so she can see the words.
Fingers crossed they will all be liked.

The Sugar Bowl - Marlene's Sketch

I thought I'd get back into submitting some blog challanges and I decided I'd start with The Sugar Bowl challange first. The very talented Marlene has set a Sketch for us to follow and the other instructions were Black, white & .... So I chose Green.
Here is my Card design

I have used some Docraft Patterened papers with black ornate patterns and matted them with white & Black card stock. The image is a Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girl with her Cat (being a cat lover I couldn't resist using this stamp again). I have coloured with my Promarkers and added a Green flatbacked pearl on kitty's collar.

You can also join in the fun over at the Sugar Bowl by following this link

The Prize is a whole collection of 'Alice' stamps by Leanne Ellis & also a set of Spellbinders Scallop Square nesties.
Fingers crossed I need all of these items. Lets hope you like it girls!
Thanks

Special Occasions

This weekend was a big family weekend for us as we were at a Wedding and there are several birthdays coming up this week.
The first card I have to show you is the wedding card. As you might be able to see the Groom is a Aston Villa fan so I tried to incorporate that in the design as well as bare in mind that Sarah (Bride) who is a graphic designer so I wanted to add some design details and textures. Hope they like it.
Now this next card is for my nephew Zane who is 3 this week. He is a mad football fan but I wanted to do something different for him so I decided to do a Pirate theme instead. I used Magnolia Pirate Edwin and coloured him with Promarkers. I had a Pirate ship stamp which I then distressed with Distress Ink and Used a Chipboard letter to finish.
Happy Birthday Zane. xxx

And Happy Crafting Everybody

Here's some new Magnolia Toppers

Fairydust Tilda coloured in shades of Pink she looked so cute and I was working on Christmas toppers so i popped her onto a Christmas Magnolia scene that I had and layered with pink backing papers. To finish I used an old earring which I took the hook off and fixed with a jump ring and tied in with ribbon.

Here's Tilda holding a ladybird. I wanted to make this into a birthday topper so I used EK Success Cupcake border punch and themed the backing paper and embellishments from the colours I had used to colour Tilda in with.

I love the fairydust Tilda she is so cute I sold her on though( whoops) but stamped some images so I have to go sparingly but here's a new topper I have made. I have used glittery backing paper and my nesties to cut the circle out.

Hope you like them

It's been ages.. whoops

My goodness where are the weeks going, they are flying by and I've been so busy having a clear out of clutter that my crafting time seems to have disappeared which isn't good as my sanity seems to have disappreared with it.
I have had a few sneaky minutes and heres a card I have made using the new Magnolia Apples & Cherries images. This one is the carosel horse and the sitting Tilda which I have coloured with Promarkers.

I used summer papers from Docrafts for the backing and used a pink straw which I wrapped green satin ribbon around it to give the appearance of the pole. Which i think works really well.

Here's a close up of my Tilda on the horse. I'm really pleased with how this turned out.

Hopefully be back for more blogging soon.

Monday again?? Here's some Christmas Toppers I've been working on

Well I know it's a bit early for Christmas but seen as my local craft shop has a section filled with goodies maybe it isn't. I raided my box of Christmas bits and pieces and some Magnolia Tilda's from various Christmas selections and here are a few I have made.

I have used Kars Christmas paper that I got from www.stampeezee.co.uk last week and used bits I'd got in my craft stash.

All the Tilda's have been coloured with Promarkers and also the Christmas tree in the picture above.
These are all available from my little Crafty corner on ebay
See you all soon

Hello Monday!

Wow how quickly did that Weekend go. To quickly for me had a busy weekend helping our lovely Nanny.

I had a little spare time and I made a few new toppers and here they are

I had some new Magnolia Rubber Stamps arrive last week and 2 of them were the Grand Oak tree and a set of leaves. I have gone for a Autumn theme with this small topper. I have stamped a leaf on the backing and then cut the tree in half and added a cute Tilda in her rain coat image.

I tried something a little different on this topper with Edwin. I weaved several different strips of coordinating papers, I'm really pleased with the way it turned out.

A little cute Tilda topper as she waits for her bath to run.

A baking topper her of Magnolia's Tilda holding a rolling pin and stood next to a jars. I have used glossy accents to give a glass front to the cookie jar.

And finally Tilda and a peony topper with deep orange backing papers and a stack of paper flowers.

All my toppers and cards are availble on Ebay and usually start from 75p

It's Saturday and the sun is shining

Good Morning everyone, just a quickie this morning as I desperately need to do some work, I have been trying to use some of my other rubber stamps and here's a couple of examples for you.

I love woodware stamps and have quite a few, this is a Wooden Stamp of a wizard and then I used the Clear Stamps of a Wizardy theme to stamp the backing.

Here is an always popular image from Penny Black Rubber Stamps of a Cat in a bra on the washing line. I've left this one quite plain compared to some of my previous designs as I have popped it on a A6 size backing card.

All my toppers are availble for sale and can usually be found on Ebay.

I'm enjoying the peace and quiet now my 2 boys have gone back to school and so have enjoyed making some more toppers.
Here they are

I have used my Promarkers as usual to colour the images of Tilda by magnolia & the letter rack by Hanglar Stanglar.

I have used a lovely Tilda image and placed her with some scrummy treats
Makes me feel hungry!

Finally for today here is a topper I have made which I have made a simple pocket in the corner and slotted in a pull out recipe card ( I have a whole pack of these) and then stamped the backing with Woodware's sweet treat stamps.

I have used my promarkers to colour her in and then I have used green to layer the backing using Bazzill Basics to mat the patterned papers.
I used a lovely old looking lace to embellish the topper

I punched out leaf designs in the plain card stock and then added a stunning green satin ribbon and finished the topper with a Craftwork Card circular sentiment.
